5 Things I Understand
  • Whites are targeting with rather mental hate against him.
  • he is so fed up with it and scared he doesn't want to to be black anymore.
  • The situation was too much to handle for him.
  • He tries to "assimilate" back into white culture by rubbing his skin till it was white, and where clothes to make his black skin look white.
  • his shift back to his own race seemed to work when he was welcomed into an all white bar and nobody recognized that he was black.

  • How much rubbing does it take to turn his skin back to white?
  • Has he now know what it feels like to be a Negro in the south or just a Negro period?
  • Does he still posses some black pigmentation?
  • No he is back to white is he going to still stay in the south?
