- There is a physical battle between Montag and Beatty.
- Montag was wondering whether or not he should commit murder by killing beatty.
- He then set beatty on fire.
- The way the book described how beatty looked while he was set on fire must have been pretty graphic for montag to do all he can to not look at the carcus.
- Now Montag is running things round there.
